    Terms of Service

    Last updated: 4 March 2026

    About these terms

These terms of service apply to all clearance, removal, and waste disposal services provided by 1 Click Clearance, a trading name of 1 Click Holdings Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number: 14993448, registered address: 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE) ("we", "us", "our") to you ("you", "your", "the customer"). By booking a service with us, whether online, by phone, by WhatsApp, or in person, you agree to these terms.

    Our services

We provide house clearance, rubbish removal, garden clearance, garage and shed clearance, single item collection, probate and bereavement clearance, and commercial clearance services. We are a licensed waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency and carry full public liability insurance.

    Bookings and quotes

All quotes provided are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. Quotes are based on the information you provide to us. If the actual volume or nature of items differs significantly from what was described at the time of quoting, we reserve the right to adjust the price before starting work. We will always discuss any price changes with you before proceeding.

For online bookings, you select a load size and time slot. If on arrival the load exceeds the size booked, we will discuss options with you which may include an additional charge for the extra volume or arranging a second visit.

    Pricing and payment

Our prices are fixed based on load size as shown on our website. There are no hidden fees or call-out charges.

Certain items carry additional disposal charges regardless of the load size booked. Upholstered furniture containing foam (including sofas, armchairs, sofa beds, and footstools) is subject to a disposal surcharge due to UK government Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) regulations introduced in 2023, which require specialist licensed disposal. Mattresses, fridges, freezers, and large appliances also carry individual disposal charges. All applicable surcharges will be confirmed before work begins — we will never apply additional charges without your prior agreement.

Payment is required on completion of the job unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance. We accept card payments. For larger or commercial jobs, we may require a deposit at the time of booking.

    Cancellations

You may cancel a booking free of charge with at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee of £45 to cover our scheduling and travel costs. If we need to cancel or reschedule your booking, we will give you as much notice as possible and rearrange at a time that suits you at no extra cost.

    Access and site conditions

You are responsible for ensuring we have reasonable access to the property and the items to be cleared. This includes providing keys, access codes, parking information, and any relevant details about the property. If we arrive and cannot access the property or the items due to information not provided, a return visit may be chargeable.

If we encounter hazardous materials (such as asbestos, chemicals, clinical waste, or other dangerous substances) that were not disclosed at the time of booking, we reserve the right to stop work immediately. These materials require specialist disposal and are not included in our standard service.

    Items for clearance

By booking our service, you confirm that you have the legal authority to have the items cleared. This is particularly important for probate, tenancy, and third-party clearances. We accept no liability for items cleared on your instruction that you did not have authority to dispose of.

If there are items you wish to keep, you must clearly identify and separate them before we begin work, or discuss this with us in advance. Once items have been loaded onto our vehicle, we cannot guarantee their return.

    What happens to your items

We sort all collected items and aim to recycle, donate, upcycle, or resell over 90% of what we collect. Usable furniture and household items in good condition are assessed for resale or donation — where items have resale value, this may reduce or eliminate the disposal charge for those items. We will always discuss this with you at the time of quoting or on arrival. Remaining waste is disposed of at licensed facilities. We provide waste transfer notes for all jobs as required by law.

While we make every effort to rehome items, we cannot guarantee that any specific item will be resold, donated, or recycled. The decision on how items are handled rests with us.

    Damage and liability

We take reasonable care when working in your property. We carry public liability insurance. If we cause damage to your property during a clearance, please notify us within 48 hours with photographs and a description. We will investigate and, where we are at fault, arrange repair or compensation.

    We are not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage to the property
    • Damage caused by moving items in properties with difficult access where risks were discussed and agreed before work commenced
    • Loss or damage to items you instructed us to clear
    • Any indirect or consequential losses

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the service you paid for.

    Waste carrier obligations

We are registered with the Environment Agency as a licensed upper tier waste carrier, operating under 1 Click Holdings Ltd. We dispose of all waste at licensed facilities and provide waste transfer documentation as required by UK law. Our Environment Agency registration details are available on request.

    Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours at 07775 605848 or hello@1clickclearance.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 7 working days. If we cannot resolve the matter directly, we will advise you of any further steps available.

    Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
